Work Area Safety for Edge Sanders

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be talking about work area safety. First off you want to make sure that your work area is free and clean from any dust and debris. This could cause a slip or trip hazard. Now since we are using a sander, you will want a proper ventilation system to take away all that dust that is produced. Additionally you want to make sure that your work area is well lit. Working in a dark environment will just lead to disaster. Now since we do have a machine that rotates if you are working in some place that doesn't have very much light, you are much more likely to be pulled into the machine or injured in some way. And lastly you always want to keep by standers, children, any visitors away while you are working with this tool. Any distractions is just inviting injury.
