HARMONIE KRIEGER: Okay, so shoes are just important as the dress. Isn't that true? PATRICIA: Yes. HARMONIE KRIEGER: Everybody is going to be looking at your shoes and if you're walking down the red carpet or into the party, the eyes go first to the face, second to the dress, and then down to the shoes. So I chose a basic black pump. Now, I like the sexy heel because the strap actually elongates my leg, 'cause I'm really short so I like to look taller. And if you put a strap across your ankle, it makes you look taller. I love sexy black pumps. Now, on Patricia, we also have a black pump but it's a variation, it's a circle toe. So, I have a pointy toe and she has the circle toe. It's almost like a ballroom shoe. It's like a cha-cha-cha shoe, so you can dance in those probably easier than you dance in mine. Now, the biggest part of the day is to feel comfortable. How often do we hate to wear shoes that hurt us? PATRICIA: Oh. HARMONIE KRIEGER: But we go for style, don't we? PATRICIA: Yes. HARMONIE KRIEGER: I mean, style is ultra, ultra important but we also have to feel comfortable, 'cause we're going to be in these shoes for seven to eight hours. So, I have a little trick for you. Before you get to your event when you're riding in the car or you're in the limo, you are going to have a pair of flip-flops. Now, why I chose these because they're silver and they're glittery, so they're also fashionable. But wear these on the way to the event so then before you get on that red carpet, you can put on your heels. When you're done with the event, before you get to the party, you want to put them back on. All you should worry about is comfort in your shoes. PATRICIA: Awesome idea. HARMONIE KRIEGER: So, these are cool. And if can't put them in your purse, which you probably can't, just them in the car and then you can run back and put them on after, or put them under the table if you're having dinner and no one will see you change shoes. I've done it before, trust me. And they look fashionable and then you can make a new fashion statement that flats, little moccasins like this, are in with the evening gown. So, whatever shoe you choose, make sure it's the right one and make sure it's comfortable. One more thing, you can slip an inner sole into your pumps so it gives you that extra little cushion. PATRICIA: Ooh.
