"Hi my name is Nathan McCullough on behalf of Expert Village. In these clips were going to talk about the proper way to inspect, remove, replace and maintenance your vehicles shock absorbers. In this clip were going to talk about one of the steps necessary in servicing your shock absorbers on approximately ninety percent of the vehicles out there. You may have to remove your tire, like I said, about ninety percent of the vehicles out there require tire removal, you can't break your Lug Nuts lose if the tires off the ground. So before you jack the vehicle up to service your shock absorbers what your going to want to do is break lose your Lug Nuts. Right here is my wheel and tire assembly, you can see I have five Lug Nuts to deal with. What I'm going to do is take my Four Way. It's going to be the three quarter inch size which is most common on all passenger vehicles out there. It may also be the thirteen - sixteenth. I'll take it and slip it on my Lug Nut there, and give it a good crank. As you can see the force required to break the Lug Nut lose requires that the vehicle be sitting on the ground. If it was in the air you would just free spin the tire. There is no particular method for breaking lose of your Lug Nuts or actually removing them. There's no specific order you need to go in. There is the proper way to break lose your vehicles Lug Nuts."
