How to Calculate Area of a Triangle

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip we'll be calculating the area of a triangle. In this kitchen we have voltage ceilings and we need to calculate the area of this triangle section of wall so we need to know how much wall paper we need to buy. We first need to get a base and a heights measurement our height is 5 1/2 feet and our base measurement is 10 feet. Once we drawn a basic diagram we're going to take the height times the base times .5, when I plug in the values and calculate it out the amount of wall paper I need to buy is 27 1/2 square feet.
