How to Play Five-Card Draw Poker

A poker game that a lot of people are familiar with is called five card draw. You don't see this in casinos as much anymore, but in home games it's played a lot. In five card draw, it's played just like it sounds. Each player will get five cards, and then look at their hand, and they actually get to throw away cards and draw new cards. Let's see how five card draw is played out. First the dealer will deal five cards down to each player. The other players at the table do not see these cards. Only the player themselves will see them. This is followed by a betting round. Once the betting round is over, each player looks at their hand and they're going to choose what cards they want to get rid of and draw new cards. In this case, this person's going to get rid of one card and try to get lucky and draw one card to make his flush. This person wants to draw three. This person will draw two cards, and this player will do the same and draw one. Once the players have discarded their cards, the dealer will deal those cards back to the players. And once the cards are dealt out again, giving each player five cards, the last betting round will start and the best five card hand will win the game. And that's how five card draw is played.
