How to Play Omaha Poker

Let's talk about another popular game played called Omaha. Now there's two versions of Omaha. There's Omaha high and there's Omaha high-low. Let's talk about Omaha high for right now. In Omaha high, each is dealt four cards face down. And then five community cards are dealt to the board similar to Texas Hold'em. Let's see how this game is dealt out. First the dealer deals four down cards to each player. This is followed by a betting round with actions starting to the player to the left of the dealer. One thing you have to remember in Omaha is you do have four down cards, but you have to use two of those cards to make your best five card hand. Alright, back to the board. Once the cards have been dealt out and the betting is done, three cards are dealt out to the board. Again, these cards are called the flop. This is followed by another betting round with the action starting to the player to the left of the dealer. After that betting has concluded, a fourth card is dealt out to the board. This is called the turn. Another betting round follows and the final card to the board will come from the dealer called the river. In Omaha high, it's to only play in the best five card hand that you can make. The players will then turn their cards over and use two of their cards to make their best hand.
