The Strait Up Curly Hair Cutting Technique

On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to cut curly hair. We've gone ahead and followed that guide again, making sure I picked another piece up, a 1/4 piece. Not too thick. You don't want a thick piece of hair to cut. You don't want to take big chunks of the hair to cut. You won't be able to see your guide as well. I think it's not as accurate. You want to go ahead and take about that much again and follow it this way. From this point up. I want you to go ahead and follow the whole haircut up all the way in this angle. All the way up. Just straight up. That will leave the layers long on the side of the head, and you won't cut into the side of her ear or her hair. Continue to follow that guide. It's going to be there. If you're cutting it even, it's going to be there, and you're going to see it happening. Continue that process all the way through. When I'm done, we'll go the next side. Just continue to do this all the way through the whole haircut. Take your time. I cut a little faster. I've been doing this for 20 something years. I keep forgetting how long, but it's forever it seems like. I love what I do. You just continue to do that.
