On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to cut curly hair. I went ahead and separated this hair before. I'm showing you that I'm taking an angle like that when I'm cutting to the side of the hair. Just a little bit like this. I'm putting up that hair. Then I'm going to go ahead and go down this way just to show you that you want to level it off. You see where that guide is right here. That was the back. The reason I took the back head like that, this is important, is so you can actually see where to begin to cut. You can begin to cut like that. Again, like that. I'm moving my hand so you can tell what I'm doing. I take a little piece from the back again and make sure that everything is even. If you want the front to be a little longer, you want to go ahead and push your hair back and cut. You'll see that the side turns out a little longer because in doing that, this stays longer and the back stays a little bit shorter or it could be more equal.
