On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to cut curly hair. I'm going to be sectioning her hair for the cutting. I'm going to go straight down from the crown over here down to the ear, back of the ear like that. I'm going to do the same on the other side. I'm going to just comb it down like this. It's easier to section when you're cutting long hair into layers. It's best and I don't want it to bother her, so just put it out of her way and I'm going to pin it. Go to the area she kind of combs it the most. She kind of tends to go to the right hand side. I'm going to section it again. You don't have to be too neat when you're sectioning the hair, but you make sure that it's done properly that way the sections are correct. I'm going to go ahead and do the same here. For the back of the head, I'm just going to take the one big clip and go straight across on the bottom. We're going to cut the length the way I want it all the way around first, and then I'm going to go ahead and put the layers in. Make sure your towel's nice and flat, the cape is nice and flat also, and the customer is sitting up straight.
