On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to cut curly hair. We're going to untangle the hair a little bit. You know it gets to be tangled when you're washing it and stuff like that. I'm taking this comb I told you about, wide tooth comb that moves like this. We're going to proceed to just section it and untangle it, making sure that it's nice and neat because you want untangled hair when you're cutting. I don't like to cut hair that is tangled or matted. It's not helpful. I'm just combing like this. Dividing. You see there's a knot in there. Just go on the bottom of the hair. Start from the bottom it it's real tangled or matted. You see how her hair looks so different when it's kind of wet. I want you to notice that it looks a little more wavy. It's still going to pop up and give you a hard time in your cutting. The curlier the hair, the harder it to cut when it's wet. Some hair, if it's extremely curly, I tend to cut dry. We’re untangling it.
