How to Play Drums: Beat 37

JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So we're going to do one more beat. This is going to kind of conclude just this little section of playing with the upbeats, moving those around the bar with that still being rooted on that downbeat of one. And what we're going to do is we're going to have the downbeat of one, all those upbeats; so the upbeat of one, two, three and four. And then we're also going to throw in that downbeat on three. We're going to put that back in, okay? And this is going to be a beat that you'll probably recognize. With no hi-hat, it sounds like this. All right? Pretty rocking, you're just kinda chugging along. In this next clip, we'll go ahead and put the hi-hat back in, and we'll take a look at it together.
