How to Play Drums: Beat 21

JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So we're going to move that upbeat of two to the upbeat of three now in the kick. So all told, we have the downbeat on one and the upbeat of three. This is in the kick drum, okay? Just going from--leaving out the hi-hat with the kick and the snare, it sounds like this. All right? So that's the fill. Like I said earlier, these are--you can tell these are kind of feeling different than when we had that one, three in the kick, okay? So this is tough to take note of, all right? In this next clip, we'll go ahead and put that all together with the hi-hat, and I'll show what's going on with the feet and then we'll play it together.
