Kaleidoscope Mirror Options

Ben Gonyo here with Expert Village, we're building a kaleidoscope. Right now we are going to go over an alternative setup for the mirrors. Now we went over the three mirrors with the equalatoral triangle; which is the typical way to do it. But you can also do two mirrors and a piece of cardboard. Now what you're going to do is make the mirrors a sharper angle, it's going to be more like a 20 or 30-degree angle. I've found the best way to do this is to tape two of the mirrors together first because when you try to hold it and you have a sharp angle, it is just going to collapse down on you. You are going to tape the two mirrors together, then put the cardboard in there and tape it together. You can adjust it as much as you want angle wise. What this is going to do is give you a different look to your pattern. You might want to color this in black. Tape in a 20-degree angle. Try putting that one in your kaleidoscope and you will get a whole different look.
