How to Cut a Kaleidoscope Tube

This is Ben Gonyo for Expert Village and we are building a kaleidoscope. So we have got our mirrors put together, a three-sided mirror, and tube. And now we are going to cut the tube part of the kaleidoscope which is made from a standard mailing tube which you can pick up at Staples or any mail supply store. You want to cut the tube so that it is a couple of inches longer than your glass mirrors. So we will put a little mark, and this is not an exact science, this is pretty easy. Just put it up there, make a little mark here, right about there looks good. We are going to use an Exacto blade to cut through the tube and you want to be careful with and Exacto blade of course. Just poke it through and you are just going to turn the tube a little until you get around the tube. We are almost there. Finish strong. And we did it.
