Hi! I'm Simone Fisher and I'm here at Clearwater Ice Arena in sunny Clearwater, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, we're going to introduce to you some advanced figure skating jumps. We now have Victoria on the ice and she is going to be demonstrating a Double Lutz jump. She's going to be taking off from the back outside edge of one foot and the toe of the other foot. She'll be making 2 rotations in the air in the direction that's opposite of the take off edge. The landing is going to be made on a back side edge and that's of the same foot that she used on the take off. Here she goes. She goes into it using back crossovers. The Lutz is usually done on the corner of the rink since it takes a long time to take off. Again, she tapped her toe into the ice, had a good bend on the jumping leg so she can make it all the way around, and used her arms to bring that rotation around. That's it. That is the Double Lutz jump performed by Victoria.
