The Split Falling Leaf Ice Skating Jump

Hi! I'm Simone Fisher and I'm here at Clearwater Ice Arena in sunny Clearwater, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, we're going to introduce to you some advanced figure skating jumps. We now have Victoria on the ice and she is going to demonstrate a split falling leaf. She's going to glide backwards on an outside edge of one foot with the opposite extended in either the front or the back of the skating foot, and she's going to jump in the direction of the curve of the take off edge. She's going to try that and she's going to show us too. The landing is going to forward on the opposite take off foot. She's going to immediately step forward on the take off foot. That is the split falling leaf.
