Hi, I'm Danny Page and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. In this series, I'm going to show you how to draw basic cartoon characters. Alright, so one thing that we're going to go over here, before we move on with this particular character is arms. I've already sort of crafted the arms here and given him again the sort of long sleeve shirt. So he's got his sleeves here with the bottoms rolled up to his elbows and we are eventually going to get to the ends of his arms and to the hands in a second. But this isn't necessarily the only thing you could have done here. Going back to the experimental page. If you want to, there are obviously lots of different options. We've sort of let the upper body dictate what is it we're going to do here. Let's say you wanted to give your character sort of a more muscular look. Obviously, you could draw his body a little bit more proportioned in using sort of the foundational ideas that you had initially when you were designing the character. You could give his arm a little bit more definition maybe. This particularly will come in handy if you're doing superheros. Just give it a little bit of roundness and definition. That'll come in handy for a lot of people who are learning to draw sort of superhero?s characters give the arms a little bit more definition. Or say, you had sort of more of a fat guy idea in mind. You might not even give him a neck at all. You just go right into the upper body and make those arms like small tree trunks. Maybe, give him a little sort of a roll there. See. Maybe, give him a bit of a gut. The old wife beater look. This guys kind of turned into a thug but you know what I mean. There are different options on arms, obviously, but we're sticking with our guys look here. Which will be, you know, just your standard, basic, you know, straight arms. Obviously, arms you can get created with but you don't really need to go to crazy with them. They're actually one of the easiest parts on drawing the upper body of a character. So, we'll move on from there.
