How to Cook Mushrooms for Pizza Bread
Hi, this is Josiah Owen and today we are going to talk about recipe for those who are on a diabetic diet. Now we are going to talk about our mushrooms to top on our bread. We would take our mushrooms and put them on the side and we are going to make little mushrooms slices. We don't want them too big. We still want the appearance of the mushroom so when you put them on, people know what is there. It is also a little presentation. Cause we don't want them to thick cause that is what we are going for right now. Remember when you clean your mushrooms you really don't want to put them under running water cause it will but you can always put them in a bowl full of water. Some people are mushroom snobs and would argue different things. But it is up to you you can always buy the prewashed mushrooms. Now we are going to talk about sauteeing our mushrooms and putting them on top of our bread. So I want about 1/8 cup of olive oil. Just enough to coat the mushrooms. We are going to put our mushrooms in there. Give them a quick toss. Let them cook a little bit. We don't want them to sit too long, a quick stir, let them sweat a little bit, start bringing up the moisture of the mushrooms. You can see it could probably use a little bit more olive oil. Some of our pieces are rather big. Mushrooms acts like a sponge pretty much and just soak up all the olive oil. At this point, you should have a nice smell coming through your house. It smells wonderful and there you go cook it about a minute, a minute in a half and you are good to go.
