Playing Chorus 1, Lick 16 on 'Natural D Blues'

KIVETT BEDNAR: To play lick number 16 in the "D-Natural Blues" Wes Montgomery solo, start by placing your forefinger on the 10th fret of the top string. Now, this is when he pulls out his blues licks a little bit, kinda reminds you this is blues, not just some jazz, but we'll stank on it. So, I want you to kind of strike this like you're Albert King or something. Now, you're going to use your forefinger on the 10th fret, jump up with your ring finger to the 11th fret, and then jump all the way down to the 12th fret on the 4th string [PLAYS LICK], so [PLAYS LICK]. So I'll walk you right through that, 10th fret, 12th fret with the ring finger, jump down to the 4th string, up to 12th fret, up a minor 3rd to the 10th fret 3rd string, hammer on up to the 12th fret of the 3rd string, and then fall back on the 10th fret of the 3rd string, and then down to the 12th fret of the 4th string, and then just walk back and forth between the 12th fret 4th string and 10th fret 4th string. The whole lick should sound like this, two times slow, two times fast [PLAYS LICK]. Now, up to speed [PLAYS LICK].
