KIVETT BEDNAR: To pick correctly on the 14th lick of the first chorus from Wes Montgomery's "D-Natural Blues," keep in mind that you're coming from an upstroke on this G, which is the 8th fret of the 2nd string. So you got an upstroke there, and then you're going to be a downstroke on your B flat where you're playing with your middle finger, and then you're going to jump down to the 3rd fret of the top string and sweep down. So I'm going to do it really slowly. You kinda just roll your hand back, sweep that pick across the strings. You can play much more quickly this way.
