Playing Chorus 1, Lick 14 Fingered on 'Natural D Blues'

KIVETT BEDNAR: To play lick number 14 in the first chorus of Wes Montgomery's solo on "D-Natural Blues" from "The Incredible Guitar of Wes Montgomery," start by placing your middle finger on the 6th fret of the top string, and then fall back to the 3rd fret top string, then down to the 4th fret of the 2nd string, 5th fret of the 3rd string, and 6th fret of the 4th string. It's outlining an A flat major 7, but our root is still an F, so it's an F minor 7 9. So we're coming from that lick to this one. So I'm going to play the lick a few times slow, and then I'll play it one or two times fast. The notes are B flat, G, E flat, C, A flat [PLAYS LICK].
