KIVETT BEDNAR: Next, I'm going to demonstrate the first 2-1/2 choruses or so of the Wes Montgomery solo, "D-Natural Blues" solo from "The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery." It's a recording put out by Riverside, so you can look it up using that little piece of information. The reason I'm playing only the first 2-1/2 choruses is because after that point, he starts to go into octaves and that's a whole different monkey. So, and the reason that I end where I end on the lick that I end on is that the last lick in this solo is one of the most useful licks that I found to use in the jazz blues musical scenario. So, here's the first 2-1/2 choruses that we'll be learning. And your solo should sound like this [PLAYS ENTIRE SOLO].
