How to Prepare Cheese for Making Cheese Bread
Hi! This Josiah Owen with Expert Village. Now I'm going to talk about shredding our cheddar cheese for our garlic herb cheese bread. We're going to need about 3/4 cup of cheese. I always like using fresh cheese, so I'm just going to cut a piece off. I'm going to cut this in half to make it manageable. Take the larger setting. You're just going to go straight down. Pieces are going to come our rather large, but that's the way I like them. Keep on shredding. Once you get pretty thin, go to the side This will actually make smaller pieces, but they'll still be just as thick. Go all the way down. This is probably enough cheese right here. I'm going to go ahead and use the rest of it. If you cut too much cheese, you can always save it for a future dish, or if you have salad you can throw it on there. We've got one cup right here measured out. That's about 3/4 cup. You can just put this to the side, if you want to use a little of extra cheese, depending on what you like. It's up to you. Remember, follow the instructions and experiment as much as you want to.
