Ingredients for a Turkish Potato Feta Roll

Hi, I'm Leah on behalf of Expert Village, and today, I'm going to show you how to make some quick and easy Turkish dishes. So the next dish we're going to talk about can either be used as an appetizer or, in Turkey, they often use it for a breakfast. It's Turkish feta and potato rolls, kind of a cross between the Indian samosas and the Mediterranean or Greek tiropitas. So I'll go ahead and get into the ingredients. We have some fresh parsley. I use Italian flat parsley. We have filo dough, olive oil. We have just some plain yogurt, feta cheese, an egg, potato to use as the base for the stuffing. And then to season it up, we have crushed red pepper flakes, regular black peppercorns, and then some sesame seeds to put on top. Okay. So the first thing we're going to do is go ahead and wash up the potato before we peel it. And we're not going to use the peels on this, so you don't have to scrub quite as hard as you would if you were using the actual peels. Okay. That looks good. Now, we're just going to go ahead and peel it. We've got our paring knife, and we will just take the skin off. You don't have to be a perfectionist about it, but you're going to try to get most of it. I'll go ahead and sit it down just to go a little bit faster. So our potato is peeled. We're going to go ahead and cut it in thirds, so then we cook it, it will cook a lot faster.
