How to Slow Cook a Pot Roast Stew

Hi, this is Josiah Owen and today we are going to talk about making pot roast. Now that we have everything in here, we are going to turn this one high and plug it in. Put the lid on top and we are going to cook this for 7-8 hours. Now this is finished cooking. We had it in here for about 8 hours. Go ahead and take the top off. As you can see, it started to caramelize around the top. That is what the wine does. Also you can tell that the potatoes and the onions have started to turn a reddish color that is fine that is what we are going for. As you can see, your meat just falls apart. At this point if you want to go ahead and flip your meat, you can probably cook it for another hour as well and there you go. Slow cooking pot roast with wine.
