Online Photography Course: Good Angles in Photography

Hello, I’m Chris Conklin on behalf of expertvillage.com. Now when angling somebody, obviously you have a right and you have a left. Some people have profile issues; they don’t like to be photographed on certain parts of their face. Now you have to take that into consideration and also respect. There are ways to work around that if you absolutely have to have that angle of pose by using hair techniques, prop techniques and lighting techniques. So for the most part, you want to honor the wishes of your specific subject as well as accomplish the vision that is telling your story. You also want to remember that you are always trying to capture some kind of reaction, either looking for a drama, attitude, personality or some kind of specific element that makes that picture speak for itself. When you are shooting a sequence of photographs for story, make sure that the people that are in it match the story; what I am speaking of their is make sure that they are of right age group and they are the right type of people. Otherwise, it is going to look like somebody that is completely out of touch with what is going on, they don’t belong there, and is going to make everything look awkward and out of place.
