How to Prepare Onions for a Pot Roast

Hi, this is Josiah Owen and today we are going to talk about making pot roast. Now we are going to talk about chopping our onions for our pot roast. Of course start off by cutting the bottom portion off and just peeling the skin. Go ahead and take all of this off. We are going to need 2 medium size yellow onions for this. So go ahead and get all of this excess onion off. Any part that has gone bad if you have one that has gone bad. At this point go ahead and cut off the top as well. We are not going to be using that. What you want to do is go ahead and cut the onion in half and from this we are going to cut it into sixes making 3 cuts. Go ahead and take the bulb out of the middle. We are going to do the same exact thing for the 2nd onion just cut in half and then cut in sixes and remove the center and there you go.
