Ingredients for Gourmet Pork Roast Recipe

Hey there! Welcome to Expert Village. I am Pam Bowman, better known to you as "Chef Blondie." Today, we're going to have some fun with pork. Pork loin is one of my favorite foods. Again, I'm from a Slavic background, and pork is a big thing in Slavic backgrounds, but I've always liked to do things a little different. Generally, we had pork roasts that were studded with garlic; maybe we'd have pork goulash, something like that. This time, II thought, how about putting a little Asian flair to a pork loin; like maybe a little Asian Szechuan ginger soy fabulous sauce. That's what we're going to do today. I have a small pork loin here; and actually, it was cut from a larger pork loin. I cut half of it to make it enough for four people. It's approximately a pound and fifteen ounces; pound and a quarter; right around there. We're going to start out really simply, by salting and peppering this, and searing it before we put our glaze on. Then we're going to make this incredible Szechuan sauce, and we're going to roast it. So, come on along with me, and watch how we do this. We're also going to learn to tress it.
