STEVE CAVERNO: Hi, I'm Steve Caverno on behalf of Expert Village. And today, I'll be talking to you about developing your plot. Now, we're going to talk about what happens after that act one hook. And this is the payoff. This is where all the stuff we've been leading up to finally happens. We're asking the question, what's going to happen to Romeo and Juliet? Will the Capulets ever make peace? Where is this story going to head? And in the payoff, we're going to find out. This is where we lead to the point where Romeo takes his life and then Juliet takes her own life. This is where all of the things we set up in act one will be paid off. Basically like--you're saving up your change to take it to the bank. And this is the moment where we lead to the climax; basically, the raising action. This is where--compared to a staircase, so at the beginning of the play, you start right here and then you step on to the staircase and you're climbing up and then you climb up to the top and then you jump up into air. And that's where the payoff is. That's where the payoff leads you to. So, all of the elements that happened up to this point are where we're going to lead you to the payoff.
