Finger Palm Vanishing Illusion Magic Trick Revealed
Hi! This is Dave Foydel with expertvillage.com. In this next clip you will learn the finger palm vanish. We have a little half dollar here, I am going to place it into my hand, just like this and as quickly as it is there, it is gone in a snap and it is back again. Now this is another great vanish, I call it the finger palm vanish and I am showing it to your for two reasons, one it is the great way to make a coin vanish and two, it shows my favorite palm of coin, which is the finger palm. Now I will show you that first because we need that for the trick. There are lots of different palms you can do and the palm is the way you hold the coin, conceal in your hand without the spectators knowing. What I do is I put the coin right here for the finger palm, and it is right in the middle of this part here of my hands, so when I bend these fingers here the coin stays just like that. It stays in there pretty good, you can move your fingers and everything with having a coin hidden inside your hand. Now another way to do the finger palm is up a little bit higher and that works if you have a larger coin or for smaller hands, sometimes it’s not as easy to do it down here. I find it to be the easiest right here. For this trick now, I am going to make the coin disappear and reappear in a matter of a few seconds, so it is a real quick, highly visual trick. What happens is I put the coin right in position from my finger palm and I am right handed so I put it in my right hand, for you lefties out here you will have to switch, but I put it in my right hand here and I put my left hand slightly underneath it, so I am kind of making a letter T for myself and as I do this, I am going to close this hand and my left hand will kind of push my right hand out of the way and as it does, I grip that coin into a finger palm just like this, and I go up my arm and then I come back down, and it opens and that hand is now empty, but really the coin is still in my right hand. Now as I come back up, as soon as my right hand passes my left hand, it will start to close and when it does, I just drop that coin in there, I snap my fingers and reopen. So I will do it at full speed again, so you can see what it looks like; there is the half dollar, it is gone and back together. That is the finger palm vanish.
