An "expert" should be able to play a simple melodic minor correctly! I strongly suggest you re-record this, you're teaching it wrong!

Free Minor Scales for Clarinet

For expertvillage.com this is Mitch Kaplan. In this clip we will be talking about scales and why they are really very important. A harmonic minor is the same thing as the natural, but you raise the seventh step going up and down the scale. We will take that G minor scale again… notice the Arabic type of sound that we have when we play that… it is a very pretty sound and a pretty scale, it is used quite a bit in classical music. We also have the melodic minor, and that is raising the sixth and seventh step of the scale and then going down, making it a natural. And this is how you would play a G melodic minor… so remember to practice those scales, technique is very important factor in being a great musician.
