Hi, I'm Tom Wright, from Gingerbread Glass and I'm here today to show you how to make a glass jar. Alright, now we're going to melt in the clear. We will be one step closer to being done. You need to get this cranking pretty hot because the clear can take a lot of heat, it just needs to heat up and get together. See, it just takes longer and longer with the more layers of glass you apply....it takes a little bit longer to get it all heated up. But it's getting there. I'm going to round off the end here with the marble marver here. You can see... the little spots where I missed the clear are starting to show so I'm probably going to pop this back in the kiln for a second and patch up those little spots. Alright, so the clear is pretty much all melted in there. And we'll pop it back in the kiln; make sure everythings all nice and heated up. And there it is.
