Storing a Jack Plane

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I would be talking about storage of your jack plane. It is always good to have your tools label as to where they go. Now in my tool storage area you would notice that I have several base for by jack planes. This is going to help keep them separate from other tools and I would be able to quickly look at that and say I have 3 of them out that I'm using. You would also notice at the end one of my base I have a small piece of wood that I placed in there. This is to keep the jack plane slightly elevated so the blade of the iron itself is not resting directly on something which can damage it or shift it out of adjustment. Lastly it is always to keep your tools locked up out of reach of children or other people who don't know what they are doing.
