Cleaning a Jack Plane

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I would be talking about cleaning your jack plane. On the jack plane itself, once the debris has accumulated you want to empty that off into a trash can. Next you can take a little bit of compressed air and blow off the rest of the tool. Lastly I always like to take a dry rag and just wipe off the tool like down the handles, maybe get off any sweat that accumulated on the handles. This is go to prolong the life of your tool and make sure that it stays in the best condition possible.
