CINDY MASTRY: Compass pose is an advance pose which requires some advance flexibility. We're going to use the strap and Faith is going to help me demonstrate this to show you how the strap can help you come in to this pose even though you may not have the flexibility required. So Faith is going to start. Yeah, she's just going to lengthen her legs out and then just bend through your knees. Bring one leg in. Yeah. Then she's going to bend this knee. She's going to reach her right arm up to the sky and then bring it around and underneath her right leg. Good. Now, she's going to try to bring that knee up as close as she can as high up as she can on her arm bone. Because she's going to keep pressing into that hand for balance. Good. Now, I'm going to use this for her so I'm going to strap this around and then she's going to grab on. Good. And reach it around behind her head and try to lengthen out through her foot. Good. So she can bend the knee, inhale and then as she exhales, extends the legs. And so notice, she doesn't have to be flexible enough to bring her hand all the way to her toe because the strap is doing that for her. So again, she's going to inhale and just bend the knee, and then exhale, extend her heel up to the sky, coming in to compass pose.
