AMANDA CLAIRE: So when you go out shopping as a circuit bender, this is a lot of fun and it's kind of addicting so you want to be careful and not blow your monthly paycheck so that you have a whole room in the house filled with unbent toys as it's kind of what my house looks like. But when you go shopping for things to circuit bend, good places to go are obviously garage sales, thrift stores, tag sales, like I say, places like Salvation Army, Savers, or Value Village, or places like that. But anyway, what you should is you should bring a couple things with you. You should--one thing that you might want to bring are these little Phillips screwdrivers, these are jeweler's screwdrivers I think is what they're called but they come in a number of different sizes. The point of bringing something like this is not so that you can necessarily take the thing apart in the store because they're probably won't be happy if you do that. But a lot of times, if you want to test the thing to see if it works, you might need to put batteries in it and so that's the second thing you want to bring is some batteries. Most things like this run off of AA batteries; in fact, I would say probably--I don't know, probably 80%, 90% of toys and little keyboards run off of your basic AA batteries. And so you can have a supply of these, just take maybe four with you, take a little screwdriver. And when you're shopping, it's a good idea to buy something that already works, right 'cause--so in order to do that, you need to be able to test it so it might have not batteries in it which is why you bring batteries, bring your screwdriver to open it up, and just walk around, walk around the garage sale, walk around the thrift store, see what they've got. Push buttons, listen to the sounds they make, try and see that everything is kind of working on it. Like I said, if it doesn't have batteries in it, put some batteries in it, make sure it works. And if you can get it for about 3 to 4 bucks then it sounds like a pretty good candidate for circuit bending and you should put it in your car and take it home.
