Private Poker Games Vs. Playing at Casinos

I am Joe Marshall with Expert Village.com and today we are going to learn how to win at poker. I wanted to briefly mention the differences between playing in a casino and playing in a private game. When you are playing a private game there isn’t a rake usually and in casino games there is always a rake, What the rake is, is you are playing against all the other players; you are not playing against the house. Since you are in the casino, the dealer that deals you the cards will take portions out of each hand out of the ante and the winnings; it is called the rake. Expert mathematicians say you shouldn’t play in any casino where they take more than 5% of the rake. Your odds just plummet after that apparently. So just look out for that.
