The Art of Betting When Playing Poker

I am Joe Marshall with Expert Village.com and today we are going to learn how to win at poker. We are going to discuss betting and the limits of betting. Most every poker game has a two-ended limit which basically is closed. It is called closed bets where it is a minimum of $5 to get in and a maximum of $20 that you can bet. Unless you are playing no limits Texas Hold 'Em, it is open ended. That means it is a minimum of the ante and the sky is the limit. You can go all in so to speak and basically each player in a clockwise fashion will determine whether or not they want to bet. To stay in the game and actually get cards after you ante, you need to place a bet and that determines whether or not you are going to have your player options available. Actually all casinos would like you to use chips and even in private games it is best to use chips. They are color coded so you can assign a dollar amount to each one and they are a lot better than throwing around cash on the table. It is harder to keep track of. Chips are easily stacked and easier to keep track of.
