Cut Depth for a Power Planer

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip we will be adjusting the depth of cut. In different applications, you are going to want to take different depths of cuts. If you are just doing some rough cutting, you might want to take a deeper cut and then move to a shallower one. Our depth of cut adjustment knob is located on the top of our tool. You will notice that there are several different increments of numbers. Here we have 0, 1/64, 1/32 and 3/64's. Located by that knob, we also have an indication arrow and that is going to point to the depth that we chose. Right now it is set to 3/64's. Now just by turning that knob clockwise or counter clockwise, we are able to readjust the depth and get whatever type of cut that we need.
