Hi, this is Jared on behalf of Expert Village. And for this section, I want to talk to you about doubles strategy. Now, in doubles strategy, there's a lot of different things that you want to keep on mind. First, is ball placement. If you can master ball placement, you can win doubles matches. Cause remember, they have to alternate hits, and who receives the ball no matter what. So, if you can see that the next person that?s going to hit the ball is on the right corner, you want to learn to place the ball on the left and vice versa. And, sometimes when your opponent has mastered that, you can hit it at them when they're not expecting it, when they're expecting to move their feet. So, learn ball placement and that?s very important for doubles. Another important thing to remember about doubles, is that consistency wins matches. I've seen many, many players at a very high level and very effective in their attack, lose matches because they try really difficult shots. If you and your opponent can agree to place the ball on the table and just get it back on, you will win matches because consistency is important for the game. In doubles, when your serving, it is very important to remember that your partner will be receiving the third ball. Which means the first ball is when you serve, the second ball is when your opponent returns it, and the third ball is when your partner receives it. So, if your partner is very good at top spin smashes. You'll want to serve top spin knowing that they will get the third ball back top spin. And, from there they can smash. So, knowing your partners strengths and weaknesses . You can serve that way, knowing that they will get the third ball. Most importantly, it?s important to remember to play as a team. There's been lots of teams that have very high level players that lose to a team of lower level players because the lower level players play as a team. They learn how to work together and communicate very well. So, play as a team.
