Hi, this is Jared again on behalf of Expert Village. And, in this section I want to tell you a few fun rules that you may not know. First, is concerning clothing color. Believe it or not, if your playing in a tournament, it is illegal for you to wear a white shirt like this or an orange shirt. Because, balls are only orange or white. And, many times during a point, if I were to be wearing an orange shirt , the ball might get hidden in my body. And, you would be unable to see where the ball is. Another fun rule to know, is that you actually get one timeout per match and that?s two minutes long. And, during that timeout you have one coach. And, so you cannot have two people talking to you and you can't have two timeouts. You get one timeout and one coach per match. This next rule is actually great. It's actually true that you can have any size racquet you want. A racquet can be this small or a racquet can be ten times the size. A racquet can be any size you want and it's still legal. There's just the advantage to having it this size because if it's smaller it will harder to hit the ball. If it's huge, it will be really hard to use. Any racquet is legal. It is also true that during a point if the ball hits your hand anywhere above the wrist it's still legal. The ball is still in play even if it hits just your hand and is returned to the other side. The rule is, above the wrist and it's legal. This last rule is, that during service you cannot hide the ball. Now, this might seem weird. But, they used to when they serve, would serve, cover it with their arm. And, when the ball dropped they would serve and generate spin behind their arm so their opponent could not see what they were doing. This rule has been changed and now you have to show your ball to your opponent as you serve.
