How To Maintain Table Tennis Equipment

Hi. This is Jared, again, on behalf of Expert Village. And on this section, I want to talk to you about equipment maintenance. Now the more you play the better equipment you're going to want to buy. So you can spend upwards of a hundred dollars just buying a racket itself. Each piece of rubber can cost a different price, and the wood itself can be expensive. So the nicer stuff you're going to buy, the more you're going to want to keep it protected and maintained. So, in doing that, sometimes when you're done playing, it's a natural tendency to want to throw your racket in your bag and leave to get home fast. Well instead, there are ways that you can make your rubber last longer so you can have better play in the future. For example, after you're done playing, it's good to clean both surfaces of your rubber so that you'll have more of a sticky surface next time you play. And this can be done with a simple dab of water and a towel, scrubbing in a circular motion on both sides. After you're done with this, you can buy protective plastic sheets to put on both sides of your rubber. This will keep it protected inside one of these cases. And inside of this, you can have a bag like this that will have your racket and your ping-pong balls. This way, everything is all together, and it's protected in case it was to get stepped on or left outside. This should keep all your materials maintained.
