Using the Dead Ball Technique in Table Tennis

Hi this is Jared on behalf of Expert Village, and the fourth type of spin I want to talk to you about is actually NO spin. It can be called a dead ball. Now this, while it might seem ineffective, because there's not spin, can actually be very effective because, when used as a serve in the middle of a match, or even in the middle of a point. Now a dead ball would be that instead of coming in like this, or this, I just hit it straight, to where the opponent should be able to almost read what's on the ball because it's not spinning. Now with this that that can psych your opponent out and make them hit off or into the net because they can't read what kind of spin it is. So a dead ball serve will look something like this. Instead of me coming over or under it, it's not putting any spin on the ball and that can force an opponent to make a mistake in a clutch move. Now lets see how that spin reacts off the opponent's paddle.
