How To Block in Table Tennis

Hi, I'm Jared on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip we're going to be talking about the form of the block and some technique with that. And so, in this, you're going to be putting your racquet out there and now putting any force into it at all. It's absorbing the hit and with this, this can throw your opponent off because they're most likely going to be sending a lot to you and you'll be absorbing it and sending it back low and slow. So you put it out there very softly and you look fast. You just absorb it and let it glide over shortly. And this is kind of almost like a drop shot. And this can be used in a match when your opponent is very offensive and aggressive. They'll be sending a lot of attacks at you and instead of trying something more difficult you can block and send it back real short.
