WHITNEY TESLER: Hi, I'm Whitney Tesler on behalf of Expert Village, and we're going over how to become vegan. We're going over vegan myths. Myth no. 3: Vegans think animals are better than humans. Vegans recognize that animals are living sentient beings and afford them the respect that they deserve; after all, we are animals too. Have you ever had a pet? Myth no. 4: Eating a vegan diet is expensive. Vegetables are cheaper than meat, period. Yes, pre-prepared meals can get expensive but pre-prepared meals vegan or not are expensive. So, you just have to choose what you can and can't eat. Eat more fruits and vegetables. If you a have a local market, it's good to go there. They usually have quality, cheaper locally grown fruits and vegetables and it's good to support your local community as well, and if you can eat organic that's great but again that can get expensive. So, just eat a few processed things, a few meals if you want but it's always cheaper to make it yourself.
