How to Increase the Difficulty of "Word Guess" the Reading Game

Hi, I'm Kathleen, the creator of Creative English. I am here on behalf of Expert Village, and I'm going to explain to you why reading games are important for children. So, why don't we start it with an easy one? Let's say we can actually say any kind of words. Let's say the letter is T, in this case. And then later on when you get used to this game, when you are more, you have more experience in this game, then we can make it more difficult. OK, can I say one word? Do you want to say a word? Yeah. OK. Cat. Yes, that's a good one. Or, I was thinking about patch. That's a good one as well, very good. OK, now think of the name of the city we are living in and take the fourth letter of it. So, Budapest, and then A. Very good. So, you need to find a word, where the fourth letter is A. So then, Budapest and A. Yes, that's right. So the first letter is A. I know, breakfast. Yes, that's a good one. I know a number. I know numbers, three, nine, five, seven. We need A, A as a fourth letter. A, oh, A before E. Oh, I can see that, no problem. Now, think of something else. I'm looking around. OK, you might catch a sight of something. But this is a very nice game and you can play it anywhere, because you don't need any equipment for it, and of course, if you have younger children, you can always tell the first letter, and if you have elder children, you can say the last letter or any letters of that. You can make it easier and you can make it harder, depending on the age and the skills.
