We are going to talk about the different ways and different ways to determine where you can put a hot tub. You can put a hot tub on an elevated deck. You just need to make sure that you can support the weight structurally of that spa when it is filled with water. Spas can wave without water anywhere from about 600 to 1,000 pounds. With water, you are going to be in excess of 5500 pounds so you need to make sure that per square foot you can maintain the weight of a spa filled with water. In selecting a different type of location you can put a spa, you need to make sure that it is a flat and level surface. Most commonly people put them on cement. You can also use paver stones, railroad ties and pea gravel by digging a hole, backfilling it with the gravel encasing it with 2 x 4's and it will sit flat. The most important thing there is not a slope and that there is not anything that is going to cause any weight to be pressure in the middle of the spa that may cause problems or damage to the spa itself.
