For Expert Village this is Mitch Kaplan. In this clip we will be talking about major seven chords. This is built primarily of the root, the third, the fifth and the seventh of the scale degrees of a scale. We would look, here is your C major scale, so we have, again there is that major scale. What we are going to do is we are going to take the root, then skip one, there’s the third, the fifth and then the seventh scale degree and there is your major seven chord.
