Making Pillows: Design Finishing

Hello! My name is Lindsay on behalf of Expert Village.com. In this clip, I am going to be showing you the finishing touches for the decorations. We are going to finish it out by hot gluing the ends down. You can either use hot glue or fabric glue because most sewing machines can’t sew over two layers of gimp because it is too thick. So I am going to be using hot glue today. We are going to start off with this bottom one, the one that went horizontal and we are going to hot glue it down on the fabric. Just press down on it for a few seconds to make sure that it stays in place. The top horizontal one we are going to do the same thing. We are going to glue it straight down all the way across. We are not going to do the middle one right now; just the top and the bottom. Now we are going to go to the first one. On the left hand side of the vertical one, we are going to glue that one straight down. The second one we are going to take this middle one and flip it up and you are going to put it underneath and glue it straight down on the fabric. When you are done doing that, you are going to put this one back over and glue that one straight down. With this last strip on the left hand side of the vertical one, you are going to glue that one straight across all three of the other gimps. When you are done, you can fold your pillow back over and this is what it should look like as the finishing touches.
