Hi, my name is Brandon Sarkis, on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I'm going to show you how to make a braided wreath of bread. Time's up, our bread is finished, and it's hot. I'll set this right here on this cooling rack. Well you notice I've got this really nice brown crust. I've got some light spots here, which is where it expanded away from where it was brushed at, and really, you can't even tell where it was joined together. It did pull apart right here, which is kind of irritating, but not the end of the world. The other thing is you can see where I didn't brush it, which is kind of funny. It kind of gives itself away. What I'm going to do now is I'm going to let this cool, but I want it to cool on the rack, and not in the pan. If it stays in the pan, for all deductive purposes, it's going to keep cooking. What I'm going to do is grab a potholder here. You've got to watch out because the rack wants to go with the pan. I'm going to get underneath it here; it should come right up. This is a non-stick baking sheet. I'm just going to slide it right on to the cooling rack. At this point, I'm just going to let it sit here and cool for probably about ten or fifteen minutes. At which point, we're going to come back and really investigate the final finished product so you can get an idea of what the texture is like, and what the inside is supposed to look like. I guess right now we wait. Here we are with our final cool off bread. I let it sit for about fifteen minutes or so. The best thing about wreath bread, besides the fact that it's very, very pretty and wreath-like, is that it's designed to be pulled apart in pieces like this and eaten. You can see the inside of this is so moist, and so soft. It's also kind of flaky, too, so it kind of falls apart and it tastes delicious. So, here's your finished product. It's a really, really great thing to do. You could add raisins to this, if you wanted. You could add dried cranberries to it. Instead of doing a savory seasoning with salt and pepper on the outside, you could also sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on the outside. You could do that, or you could put brown sugar in it. Just a little bit of brown sugar, and cut the sugar amount in half, then put a syrup on top, like a giant cinnamon roll. You have tons of options here. Anyway, it's a great recipe; I really enjoyed making it. I know you'll enjoy making it. I'm going to enjoy eating it. Have fun watching this video, and all of my videos on Expert Village. Until next time, enjoy your bread.
